This artists use a technique known as glassblowing. Glassblowing involves taking molten glass from a furnace and shaping it into something beautiful. First, a stainless clear tube is used to take the 2,000 degree molten glass out of the furnace. Next, they blow air through the opposite end of the blowpipe tube. This infuses bubbles into the glass, causing it to expand. Tweezers are then used to adjust the glass. More layers are normally added on top of these layers for more color. After the glass has been shaped, the glass is then cooled. Once cooled, the glass is ready to be put on display. As you can see, glass blowing is an incredible and unique way to create art.
